Navigating Change: Leading individuals and organizations through difficult times

“There are three constants in life…change, choice and principles.” — Stephen R. Covey

“Navigating Change” is a look at how individuals and organizations react to an ever changing environment. People react differently to the same situation. Individuals move through the stages of change at various speeds. Organizations are no different. It depends on their outlook.

How do you react to change? Do you tend to see the glass as half full, or half empty? Have you experienced anything like this before? How much stress have you had to overcome in your life? How much do you have going on in your personal life at this time? If we accept that change is a constant, we not only need to deal with change, we need to learn to thrive in it!

Learner Objectives:

Upon completion of this Navigating Change session, participants will:

  • Understand the need to manage change at three levels: Self, Others, Organization;
  • Identify the four different reactions to change;
  • Learn how to minimize the “productivity dip” that occurs during change; and
  • Recognize the difference between being “change hardy” and “change smart”.
