Volunteer opportunities abound. You’ll be utilizing your skills with other professionals to enhance ATD Houston’s and your success. We would like to show you how volunteer opportunities can give you the exposure and experience to enhance your career. Volunteer contributions are coordinated through a Director of Volunteers who is responsible for getting you in the right position with the right people.
Volunteers must be an ATD Houston Chapter member in good standing.
Please complete the online form if you are interested in volunteering. We will contact you with follow-up questions and assignments.
Volunteer committees include marketing, professional development, programs, finance, communications, technology, member services, sponsor relations and the conference and exposition.
Committees carry out the ongoing tasks and processes that keep the Chapter running smoothly. They are considered the “backbone” of the Chapter. Committees increase the involvement and participation of the general membership. A member’s participation on a committee gives them knowledge of the organization and leadership experience, benefiting both the organization and the individual by building skills for future leadership positions. Committees function within the By-laws and policies of the Chapter. All committee chairs report to a Vice President who provides guidance and serves as a liaison between the committee and the Executive Board.
Board members are elected yearly. Members are invited to submit their name and application when notice is made through the ATD Houston website.
