Role Priorities / Responsibilities:

  • Designs and facilitates training, with an emphasis on management, onboarding new managers, new and existing company-wide policies, processes, procedures, and business applications using various teaching methods tailored to the audience
  • Assists in activities to mitigate potential risks and barriers to successful adoption of change initiatives, including communications planning, training, and user support strategies
  • Plans, organizes and facilitates both individual and group training sessions
  • Assists in the instructional design of company-wide training documentation, methods, and materials
  • Supports SMEs, Field and Corporate managers through the instructional design and delivery of new and existing processes
  • Assesses performance improvement of management and provides regular evaluations
  • Conducts needs and gap analysis, makes recommendations and designs trainings based on findings.
  • Measures the impact of implemented learning to determine instructional effectiveness and define areas for improvement
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, HR, IT, Legal, Safety and Operations professionals
  • Assists in the conversion process of new acquisitions
  • Assists in new projects as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in adult training, curriculum, and instructional design principles
  • Knowledgeable in finance, accounting, IT, business processes, communications, and employee development
  • Able to facilitate learning activities that enhance retention and improve performance
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and interactive learning materials and activities that support learning objectives
  • Proficient with a variety of learning formats, such as e-learning, video, instructor-led training, job aids, manuals and performance support resources
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all level of employees through written correspondence, one-on-one coaching and public speaking
  • Ability to evaluate performance
  • Ability to analyze and identify performance barriers and make recommendations to rectify
  • Skilled with Learning Management Systems and Instructional Design methodologies and technology
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Project)
  • Knowledgeable in change management methodologies
  • Basic knowledge and familiarity in project management
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Ability to work independently


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from an accredited four-year college or university required
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Training Certifications a plus
  • Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas industry or Oilfield Services

Essential education and experience:

• Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent mix of education and experience is required. Degree in Organizational Design, Business field, Instructional Design or related preferred.

• Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrated success in instructional design and/or training.

Senior: 5-7 years of demonstrated success in instructional design, development and training in a project and delivery-oriented environment. Project management experience required.
