POSITION SUMMARY: 

As the Senior Specialist, Learning and Organizational Development, you will be the Learning and Organizational Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is to assess, design and deliver relevant and challenging learning opportunities through a variety of methods to ensure optimal learning. The position consults with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best strategy and methodology to implement initiatives aligned with business needs.

POSITION DETAILS:

Specifically, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Provide coaching and consulting support to business leaders to identify creative solutions and resolve gaps to maximize both individual and team effectiveness.

Actively involved in all aspects of the learning and development process including assessment, planning, design, delivery and evaluation.

Proactively identify gaps (ie needs analysis, focus groups, interviews, talent review results, survey results, business/learning partner feedback), makes recommendations, and optimizes learning experiences.

Determine best strategy and methodology to deliver customized training and team/organizational effectiveness solutions based on business needs and requests.

Facilitate effective training design and delivery for professional development, leadership, and learning programs, including development of on-demand content, course materials, support documentation, and blended learning approaches with measurable learning objectives.

Facilitate programs leveraging adult and social learning methodology, evaluates feedback, identifies opportunity for improvement and adjust curriculum as appropriate.

Ensure learning programs align with the needs of the business and business objectives.

Identify industry trends and best practices through researching best in class practices. Collaborates with HR team and business leaders on enterprise-wide organizational development initiatives, such as leadership development, performance management and culture development.

Develop and maintains strong relationships with team members, peers, business leaders and vendors.

Develop a strong working knowledge of the business, understanding of subject matter, and impact on audience for course content development.

Effectively execute development initiatives and projects - defining and managing project timelines, communication plans, budget constraints, resources, deliverables and competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members, peers, business leaders and vendors.

Develop a strong working knowledge of the business, understanding of subject matter, and impact on audience for course content development.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Adult Education, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.

A minimum of four years’ experience in the design, development and delivery of high impact learning and organizational development solutions which align with the organization's evolving culture and business strategy preferred.

Preferred Experience, Education and Skills:

Able to travel up to 25% to present training; attend planning sessions, meetings, training or professional association conferences and stay overnight as required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Organizational Development Consultant will lead the design and delivery of team-focused development activities using endorsed Organizational Development tools and models, primarily in the North American-based KARL STORZ business units. This is an individual contributor manager role that will provide expert-level facilitation and guidance for high-impact development experiences, commensurate with modern global / corporate benchmarks.   • Manage team development work in North America
  • Assessment and diagnosis of underlying issues, including effective documentation and synthesis of relevant data.

  • Scoping, design, delivery, sustainment, and evaluation of team development services.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum years of relevant work experience: 5-7
    • Minimum education, certifications and/or credentials: Master’s in Organizational Development or related field. 
    • Must be able to maintain productive working relationships and treat fellow employees with respect.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Requirements include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent additional years of experience
    • Five or more years of increasing responsibility in a corporate L&D function, including facilitation experience
    • Instructional design experience for both instructor-led and e-learning environments
    • Two or more years of experience working with DEI initiatives within a corporate setting
    • Global L&D delivery experience preferred
    • High degree of comfort and ability using tools such as Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel; Powtoon and other presentation/graphics software, such as Publisher; Learning Management Systems, preferably Cornerstone OnDemand
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and present in a highly engaging manner; ability to adapt approach to participants’ needs
    • Strong ability to take complex and emerging concepts and present them in the learners’ context in written, visual, and verbal forms
    • Experience in project management and adept at managing multiple projects with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
