The holidays are here, and November is a month to give thanks. Today, I'd like to express gratitude to all veterans who served to protect our freedoms with courage and dedication. And an extra special word of thanks goes to our veterans who are now serving in the talent development field. Your unique perspectives and skills in leadership, resilience, and adaptability help shape stronger, more adaptable leaders and teams in our workplaces. Thank you for your service and for continuing to make a powerful impact on the future of our workforce. We celebrate and recognize you! 

Speaking of celebrating success, ATD Houston wants to recognize and celebrate your success stories. We'd love to hear about innovative projects and best practices you and your teams are implementing in your organizations. There is so much to be thankful for this year! ATD Houston is especially thankful for our volunteers. Because of our volunteer teams, we are able to create meaningful and memorable experiences for our members. Just last month, we gathered to celebrate all the volunteers at ATD Houston. We recognized everyone who's played an essential part in this year's success. From those with dedicated roles, to those who worked on special projects and day of events. A special shout out goes to Elizabeth Agustin for being recognized with the Debbie Richards Achievement Award. And congratulations to Janeth Harrison, and the entire Membership team for organizing such a fantastic volunteer appreciation event. As the year winds down and I get ready to officially pass the baton to Nannette Daugherty, our incoming chapter president, I must extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to every one of our board members, chapter members, volunteers, and sponsors. Your time, effort, and contributions helped us move towards our vision of Inspiring talent development professionals to achieve their full potential. 2024 has been an amazing year, because of YOU!
