Speaker: Steven Derbyshire, Director of Health, Safety, and Environment at S&B Engineers and Constructors, LTD

Steve’s background includes extensive experience in developing and implementing comprehensive HSE programs, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident investigations. He is well-versed in regulatory compliance, audits, and training programs to ensure that organizations are meeting all necessary standards.

In addition to his technical skills, he excels in building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization. He is known for his ability to effectively communicate the importance of safety and influence behavior change to create a safer work environment for all employees.

He is passionate about creating a culture of safety within organizations and is committed to continuous improvement in HSE practices. His goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of employees and stakeholders by promoting a strong safety culture and reducing risk in the workplace.

Speaker: Crystal Kelly, Talent Development Manager, S&B Engineers and Constructors, LTD

Crystal Kelly, is a dedicated Talent Development Professional with over 15 years of experience, brings a unique perspective to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry. Crystal’s expertise in cultivating talent and implementing innovative strategies drives measurable business results, including a recent skills development initiative within S&B.

With a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Training and Management from William Carey University, she is also certified as a SHRM-SCP and an ATD Houston Chapter member.
