WEBINAR: REVEALING UNCONSCIOUS LANGUAGE CODE TO CREATE MORE INCLUSIVE TALENT DEVELOPMENT

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are complex issues. What if we could easily include others without spending time and money on elaborate programs? We can. The solution is raising awareness about our unconscious language code.  Communication seems simple. A sender codes the message. The receiver decodes the message.

What if the receiver doesn’t know the code?  If people don’t understand, they’re immediately excluded from the message. They either need a translator, or they misunderstand, or they stop communicating. Confusion and frustration erode trust. Eroded trust leads to assumptions and dysfunctional relationships.

When developing talent, it’s paramount to create safe, inclusive environments to maximize learning transfer. This session shows participants how to identify their unconscious language code and provides practical strategies to use more inclusive language code..

LEARNER OBJECTIVES

In this session, participants will:

-Identify 10 examples of unconscious language code.

-Apply practical strategies to remove or revise unproductive, exclusive language.

-Create more inclusive and equitable training experiences.
