Sharon Lucas offers over 30 years of experience in the field of Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Facilitation, Executive Coaching and Instructional Design. Sharon began her training career working for a private investigator, training others on how to detect cellular fraud, working on a kidnapping as well as gang related crimes.
Sharon transitioned to corporate to do what she loves most, building and leading the learning and development function. For the past 30 years Sharon has had the privilege of partnering with a multitude of organizations providing innovative learning and organizational solutions as a consultant and coach. Clients include GE, Synchrony Financial, Diamond Offshore Drilling, Noble Drilling, Toyota, Interliant, BBB, Eaton, Dick’s Sporting Goods, SK E&C, Nortek, SABIC, Americanized Benefits Consultants, Atkins, Valerus, Houston Cellular, Oceaneering, TEAM Inc., MODEC and many others. Sharon has also worked with multiple executives and individuals in a coaching capacity helping them reach their goals and objectives.
Sharon possesses the unique combination of offering intuitive coaching, instructional design, facilitation and organizational development solutions and has designed and facilitated Train the Trainer Sessions, Leadership/Management solutions, DISC Certification, Coaching, Team Building, Sales Training, Time Management, Business Writing, Change Management and Presentation Skills. She has worked with executive teams creating mission and vision statements for their organizations. Sharon has also consulted with companies to help establish competency-based succession planning, hiring and training processes and executive presentations. In addition, Sharon and her team have created innovative and engaging solutions including a Gamification Leadership Course, virtual learning solutions, and Graphic Recording and Facilitation options for retention. Sharon is a highly energetic, interactive, fully engaging designer, facilitator and coach who believes that participants need to be involved in the learning and discovery process to ensure the application and retention of the content.
Sharon holds a M.S. in Occupational Technology with a focus on Organizational Development, Training, Coaching and Instructional Design. She also earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Sharon is an Adjunct Professor for the Masters Program at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Houston. Certifications include: DISC, EQ, CSI (Change Style Indicator) and additional course certifications. Sharon is passionate about the design process, training and coaching, making it a goal to impact each and every one of the participants she comes into contact with. Her goal is to assist people and organizations in maximizing their effectiveness both professionally and personally. Sharon is from Houston, Texas and now resides with her family in Katy, Texas. She is an active volunteer in her community including; former VP of Membership for ATD and enjoys working out, travel, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
