Topic:  Opportunity: How to Step Into It

Speaker:   Barbara Stewart is the CEO and founder of a company specializing in taking businesses from good to growth.

Building on what is already good in a business, she guides leaders and team members in unleashing the talents already present. Her experience and know-how come from serving business leaders and owners as a financial and business adviser and growing three businesses from the ground up. Tokyo, Hong Kong and Houston have been the places she made her mark, starting her first business in Tokyo.

Through good time management, Barbara has time for the things she loves most. Her husband Ed, training with her horse Usache and fishing the saltwater bays of the Texas Gulf Coast.  Twitter Handle:  @acceluspartners

What is a chat?

A Twitter chat is where a group of Twitter users meet at a pre-determined time to discuss a certain topic, using a designated hashtag (#) for each tweet contributed. A host or moderator will pose questions (designated with Q1, Q2…) to prompt responses from participants (using A1, A2…) and encourage interaction among the group.

Twitter chats provide a chance to network and grow your circle (and knowledge!) through shared interests.

Twitter chats are also a great means to share your knowledge and subject matter expertise. It’s also an opportunity to make meaningful connections and build community on social media. It is not intended to be a sales pitch or promotion, but rather a way to increase awareness for your brand.

If you aren't already on Twitter, join before the date of the chat.  Fill out your profile, add a picture and follow @atdhouston.  Also check out these Twitter tips.

How to listen
You can simply click on the hashtag on a tweet to see all of the recent tweets around that hashtag.

You can also follow a hashtag in your Twitter client like Tweetdeck or Hootsuite. Just set up a search for the hashtag and all of the tweets with that hashtag should show up in the search window.
