There is lots of buzz around Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality in the training arena but what does it all mean and what is the value to you as a talent professional? Tietronix, a leader in Astronaut training, has partnered with Microsoft and NASA to develop high-end AR/VR solutions leveraging the power of the Microsoft HoloLens.

Join this session to see this emerging technology in action and be able to 'test drive' training scenarios from the Aerospace, Medical and Energy sectors.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify differences between Augmented and Virtual Reality.
  • List pros and cons of AR and VR Solutions.
  • Outline HoloLens features and benefits for training and performance support.
  • Evaluate the application of AR/VR in your work environment.
Speaker:  Alex Condon, Director of Strategic Initatives

Tietronix has a long history of Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality. Going back 7 years, we began on an early NASA grant to explore the technologies possibilities in space (Mobile Platform Augmented Reality for Enhanced Operations on the International Space Station).

Since that time, we have been at the very forefront of Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality technology, having early access, through NASA, to many of the most in demand VR/MR hardware solutions. In that time we have seen a transition in Virtual and Mixed Reality, moving from novelty to functionality and as we work with each new hardware generation, the value the technology can bring to the marketplace is more and more profound.

Parking:   You can park in the adjacent parking garage and take the elevator to the 10th floor.
