Competence Based Branding: Bringing the Best of Who You Are to Everything You Do

Topic: Few people can clearly articulate why they are distinctive from the crowd and why what they bring or don’t bring to the table is relevant to business success. Brent Kedzierski, Learning Manager with Shell Oil, will show you how you can take a closer look at our own personal brand through attributes associated with competence based branding. This session will provide an opportunity for you to take a pause from your busy work week, focus on you, and challenge if you are bringing the best of who you are to everything you do.

Learning Objectives:  Upon completion of this event, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the importance, components and criteria for a strong personal brand.
  • Describe the underlying principles and levels of personal competence.
  • Describe the attributes of a competence based brand.
  • State what make you distinctive and relevant in less than 10 seconds.

Speaker:  Brent A. Kedzierski has focused his career on helping people and organizations in high risk industries excel where it matters most. His passion and talents have earned him a reputation for being a “dynamic force for good” in driving strategy development and transformational change leading to new capability development and top quartile performance. Brent is currently working to develop Shell’s strategy for leveraging simulation based learning as a distinctive and competitive strategy. Brent holds a Masters from Marymount University in Human Resource Management and is a regular presenter at a wide range of academic, volunteer and professional venues
