Topic:  Innovation & Distributed Teams: in today’s world, every company needs to innovate in multiple areas (product lines, shared services such as HR & IT, and even business models). But as the world becomes increasingly global, how do you innovate & communicate effectively without high spending on travel? This month’s speaker will talk about Working & Collaborating Virtually, Innovation, and why these matter to all of us.

Speaker:  Heather Gillbanks has a broad background, encompassing over 20 years in IT (much of that time supporting Shared Services such as HR across a variety of industries), Sales, & Process Improvement/ Quality (Six Sigma & Lean). She is currently the Customer Loyalty Leader at GE Power, and is based in Houston. Heather is a co-founder of GE’s IT Corporate Audit Staff program, a recipient of the GE Chairman’s Leadership Award, and a published author in collaboration technologies. In addition, Heather has led large-scale implementations in a variety of technologies, as well as some of the largest process improvement & team combination/ synergy projects ever undertaken by GE.
