Tina Breslin, General Manager for Primeast is excited to be heading up the Woodlands CTN group for ATD Houston for 2016. The success of any CTN group relies on great content and application for the members who attend. Knowing that one of the key foundational competencies for any one in Talent Development is the Global Mindset, Tina’s goal is to bring global expertise to the members.

Topic: Competency Models in Action: Using competency models to make talent decisions and demonstrate correlation with business performance

In this month’s topic, our speaker will share success stories using competency models in mid-size to global organizations. Hear how competency models can help plan for and develop talent to meet future business needs and learn how competency metrics can correlate with business metrics.

Speaker: We are happy to welcome Karina Izaguirre, SPHR, SHRM-SCP as our first speaker for 2016. Karina is a Sr. Global Competency Coordinator for Halliburton based in Houston and has 15 years of experience in various areas of Human Resources with a specialty in competency model design and deployment. Karina has successfully supported various organizations in utilizing competency models as roadmaps to develop capabilities and deliver on key objectives. Karina is passionate about developing leaders, aligning people strategy to business strategy and is committed to sharing and exchanging best practices with other HR and Talent Development professionals.
