Riding the Waves of Change: Lead, Manage, Measure & Sustain change for smooth project and program sailing

Project initiatives often encounter rough waters because the organization asks employees to do something different. Furthermore initiatives muddy the waters when change management processes and tools aren’t aligned and integrated into the overall project management framework. Organizations can take steps to help employees take to change as a duck takes to water.

Only 30% of change efforts fully meet their business goals (John Kotter, Leading Change). Unlike most change management presentations that focus on failure rates of change management efforts, Mark Hordes will present the critical success factors and “must-do” steps to enable your change management interventions to succeed and sustain the test of time.

Learning Objectives:

  • Calibrate your “readiness for change”
  • Build a compelling “business case for change”
  • Identify and develop sponsors that will champion the project and change effort
  • Create a positive path forward to manage resistance
  • Implement a 8-step change adoption process
  • Measure change utilizing a balanced project scorecard
  • Create a dynamic communications plan and process
  • Build a change roadmap and blueprint that is sustainable

Target Audience: Intermediate
