About Me
Hi, I’m Dawn Binion-Stewart. I am based in Houston, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, learning from their experiences, and understanding what shapes how they show up in the world and at work.

Professionally, I’m the Director of Culture, Inclusion & Learning at Best Friends Animal Society, where I’ve spent nearly 10 years. The mission brought me to Best Friends, but the people have kept me there. My work sits at the intersection of culture, inclusion, leadership, and learning, and I’m especially interested in what happens after the training ends, how we turn a good conversation or an “aha” moment into behaviors that actually stick.

I’m a naturally curious and pretty direct person, and I believe both can coexist with care. I value honest conversations, strong relationships, and creating space for people to feel heard while continuing to learn and grow. I’m also exploring coaching as a way to deepen that work and help leaders uncover their own insights and take meaningful action.

I’m excited to be part of ATD Houston, to meet people who are equally curious about learning and development, exchange ideas, and continue growing alongside a local community of professionals who care about helping people thrive.
