Mentors should have at least 10 years in the learning & talent development profession and who have a passion for developing others. Mentees will typically be early in their career or have less experience and have a desire to grow personally and professionally. Click here to access the mentor application.
Mentees will already be working in the learning & talent development profession and have a desire to work with a more experienced professional in deepening their knowledge and skills in this field as well as wanting to explore ways of extending their career. Click here to access the mentee application.
The mentor program is not suitable for those seeking to transition into the learning & talent development profession.
The 2016 mentor program is open to all members of the ATD Houston Chapter. The program is free to members but there are expectations for both Mentors and Mentees. We ask you to make a commitment to the program for a year and ensure adequate time is made available to meet at reasonable times throughout the program. Please note that to participate in the program you must be able to attend the kickoff event.
Successful applicants will need to present their resumes to the Mentor Program Director as part of their application as well as completing the online application form. Successful Mentees will self-select from the pool of Mentors based on professional background and individual development needs.
