About Me
Yao Huang received her Ph.D. in the Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies (ISLT) program at Florida State University (FSU). She has more than ten years of working experience in the U.S. and China in the learning and development sector and has worked over five years in the U.S. higher education sector. She is currently a tenure-track assistant professor in the Instructional Systems Design & Technology program at Sam Houston State University in Texas.

Yao has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as TechTrends and Performance Improvement journal. She has spoken at the DevLearn and International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI) conferences. Her research focuses on how mobile, augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence, and big data enhance performance support in the workplace.

Yao received the Ruby Dimond Future Professor Award from FSU and the Distinguished Dissertation Awards from both ISPI and ATD.
