ATD Houston is a professional society, and is also a real business that must be run in a professional manner. If you have been seeking ways to grow and develop in the talent development profession, here is your opportunity. 

We are holding a call for nominations for our 2018 Board of Directors.

Become a Chapter Leader

Hear from NAC Chair, Wendy Gates Corbett, CPLP, Eddie Turner, and chapter leaders from across the country describe their experience in the ATD Chapter community. Make a powerful impact in your life and the lives of others by joining a chapter in a leadership role!



Steps for nomination:

  1. Read the Best Practice Agreement.  
  2. Read the Code of Ethics document. 
  3. Complete the nomination application form.

Timeline

  1. Applications due:  August 7 at 5 pm CDT.
  2. Membership voting period:  Early September.
  3. Board announced at the Fall Conference (Sept 21)

Requirements

All Board Members are required to be members in good standing with both the ATD Houston Chapter and ATD.

Estimated Time Requirements per month:
    • Attending board meetings: 2 hours plus travel time
    • Attending committee meetings: 1-2 hours plus travel time
    • Attending monthly chapter programs: 3 hours plus travel time
    • Communicating with newsletter editor, individuals responsible for website, administrative office and committee members about routine issues: 2-4 hours
